花や野菜を育ててストレス解消！

紅白の梅が、満開です。(The red and white plums are in full bloom.)

主人が夏に実を取り、梅干を作ります。(My husband picks the fruit in the summer and makes pickled plums.)

以前、球根を植えたスノードロップが咲きました。(The snowdrops I planted bulbs on earlier have bloomed.)

庭に花が少なく、寂しいのでラナンキュラスを買って植えました。(There aren’t many flowers in my garden and I feel lonely, so I bought a ranunculus and planted it.)

華やかな花です。(It’s a gorgeous flower.)

ミニハウスに種をまいた菜っ葉類が大きくなっています。(The vegetables I sowed in the mini-house are growing big.)

２月は、アジサイの剪定、４月に種をまく予定の所の土づくりをしました。(In February, I pruned the hydrangeas and prepared the soil where I plan to sow seeds in April.)

２月１日は、暖かく春のようでした。(February 1st was warm and spring-like.)

でも、来週には、雪のマークがついた日もあります。(However, next week there will be some days marked with snow.)

三寒四温を繰り返して、春になるのでしょう。(After repeating the three cold and four warm seasons, spring is here.)

気温の変化に注意して、衣服を変えないと風邪をひく季節です。(It’s the season to catch a cold if I don’t pay attention to changes in temperature and change my clothes.)

2月3日は、節分です。(February 3rd is Setsubun.)

邪気を払い、無病息災を願うのが「節分」の意味です。

(The meaning of “Setsubun” is to ward off evil spirits and pray for good health.)

我が家も豆をまきました。(I also planted beans.)

『鬼は外、福は内』と言いながら豆をまいて今年の安全を祈りました。

(We threw beans and prayed for safety this year while saying, “Demons are outside, good fortune is inside.”)

2月5日、初雪が、降り始めました。(The first snow began to fall on February 5th.)

雪は、昼から降り始めて、夕方には景色を変えました。
(Snow started falling in the afternoon, and the scenery changed in the evening.)

2月9日は、氷点下の寒さです。(February 9th is freezing cold.)
丹沢山が白っぽくなってます。(Mt. Tanzawa is becoming whitish.)

早くも、１月下旬に入りました。(It’s already late January.)

１月１日夕方に、能登半島で大きな地震が起こりました。(On the evening of January 1st, a large earthquake occurred on the Noto Peninsula.)

今年は、激動の年と言われます。(This year is said to be a turbulent year.)

干支が辰年です。(The zodiac sign is the year of the dragon.)

この年は、いろいろと起こるともいわれます。(It is said that many things will happen in the Year of the Dragon.)

これから、世界中でいろいろなことが起こるのでしょうか？(Will many things happen in the world from now on?)

暖冬とはいえ、やはり、１月は寒いです。(Although the winter is mild, January is still cold.)

ここは、東京の郊外なので寒いです。(It’s cold here because it’s a suburb of Tokyo.)

今朝は、周りに霜が降りて一段と冷え込みました。(This morning, there was frost around us and it got even colder.)

でも、タンポポは咲いていました。(But the dandelions were blooming.)

必死に咲いてるように感じました。(I feel like it was desperately blooming.)

あと１か月ほど経てば、花壇の花や野の花も元気に活動し始めます。

その頃が、１年間の中で一番好きな季節です。(That time of year is my favorite season of the year.)

1月13日、夕方から雪が降りました。(On January 13th, it started snowing in the evening.)
雪はきれいです。(The snow is beautiful.)

年末から暖かい日が続きました。(The warm days have continued since the end of the year.)

だから、イチゴハウスの棚作りがやりやすかったです。(That’s why making the shelves for the strawberry house was so easy.)

１月１日、風が冷たいですが、太陽が出て気持ち良い新年を迎えられました。

(On January 1st, the wind was cold, but the sun came out and we had a pleasant new year.)

２０日は暖かく、明日の後半から強い寒気が来ます。(Mid-December, the 20th will be warm, starting from the second half of tomorrow.A strong cold is coming.)

花の少ない冬の庭です。(This is a winter garden with few flowers.)
でも、ストックやスノーポール、アリッサム、黄梅が咲いてます。(However, stock, snowpole, alyssum, and yellow plum are blooming.)
春に開花するスイトピーやカリフォルニアポピーも寒さに負けず頑張っています。

(The sweet peas and California poppies that bloom in spring are also doing their best despite the cold weather.

先週あたりから暖かい日が続いています。(It’s been warm days since last week.)

イチゴハウスの中の夜の気温も１０度以上あり安心です。(The night temperature inside the strawberry house is over 10 degrees, making it safe.)

奇麗な色の紅葉した葉と花を道端で見つけました。(I found some beautiful autumn leaves and flowers on the roadside.)
