散歩に行っても花が少ないです。（Even when I go for a walk, there are few flowers.）
今あるのはサザンカです。（What’s here now are camellias.）
河津桜の蕾が少し膨らんでいます。（The Kawazu cherry blossom buds are swelling a little.）
もくせいの蕾も少し膨らんでいます。（The maple buds are also swelling a little.）
数年前に植えたスノードロップが今年も出ました。（The snowdrops I planted a few years ago have come up again this year.）
花が少ないので満開の梅がとても綺麗です。（Since there are few flowers, the plum blossoms in full bloom are very beautiful.）
2月3日は節分でした。（February 3rd was Setsubun.）
「一年間健康に過ごせるように」という願いを込めて「悪いもの」を追い出す行事とされています。（It is an event that is said to drive away evil spirits with the wish that everyone will be healthy throughout the year.）
私も豆まきをしました。（I also took part in the bean-throwing ceremony.）
恵方巻を食べました。（I ate ehomaki (sushi rolled sushi rolls).）
ヒイラギの鉢を玄関に置きました。（I placed a pot of holly at the entrance to the house.）
今年１年元気に送りたいです。（I hope to be healthy and lively this year.）
日曜日に雪が降る予報なので、期日前投票に行きました。（Since snow is forecast for Sunday, I went to vote early.）
長蛇の列で約1時間並んで投票してきました。（I waited in a long line for about an hour to vote.）
杖を突いている人や車いすの人なども来ていました。（There were also people using canes and wheelchairs.）
投票の権利は大切に使わないとと思いました。（I realized that I should cherish my right to vote.）
予報通り雪が少し降りました。
２０日から２５日まで強い寒波が来ます。（A strong cold wave is expected from the 20th to the 25th.）

ストック、パンジー、ビオラ、野ボタンは、寒さに負けずに咲いています（Stocks, pansies, violas, and wild peonies are blooming despite the cold.）
去年は、色々とアクシデントがありました。（Last year, there were a lot of accidents.）
今年は、穏やかな年になるとよいです。（I hope this year will be a calmer one.）
去年の花づくりの失敗です。（This is a failure in last year’s flower growing.）
冬の庭をストックとパンジーとビオラで飾ろうと計画しました。（I planned to decorate my winter garden with stock, pansies, and violas.）
早めに種をまきました。（I planted the seeds early.）
でも、去年の夏の暑さに途中で枯れてしまいました。（However, they died midway through last summer’s heat.）
今、残ったのは、数本です。（Now, only a few remain.）
今年は、再チャレンジします。（This year, I’ll try again.）
