花や野菜を育ててストレス解消！

花が少ないので満開の梅がとても綺麗です。（Since there are few flowers, the plum blossoms in full bloom are very beautiful.）

2月3日は節分でした。（February 3rd was Setsubun.）
「一年間健康に過ごせるように」という願いを込めて「悪いもの」を追い出す行事とされています。（It is an event that is said to drive away evil spirits with the wish that everyone will be healthy throughout the year.）
私も豆まきをしました。（I also took part in the bean-throwing ceremony.）
恵方巻を食べました。（I ate ehomaki (sushi rolled sushi rolls).）
ヒイラギの鉢を玄関に置きました。（I placed a pot of holly at the entrance to the house.）
今年１年元気に送りたいです。（I hope to be healthy and lively this year.）

２０日から２５日まで強い寒波が来ます。（A strong cold wave is expected from the 20th to the 25th.）
強い寒波が数回来るそうです。（It seems there will be several strong cold waves.）
ストックやビオラやパンジーが心配です。（I’m worried about my stock, violas, and pansies.）

河で遊ぶ鳥たちが可愛いです。

去年の花づくりの失敗です。（This is a failure in last year’s flower growing.）
冬の庭をストックとパンジーとビオラで飾ろうと計画しました。（I planned to decorate my winter garden with stock, pansies, and violas.）
早めに種をまきました。（I planted the seeds early.）
でも、去年の夏の暑さに途中で枯れてしまいました。（However, they died midway through last summer’s heat.）

菊（The chrysanthemums ）
庭の菊が満開です。（The chrysanthemums in the garden are in full bloom.）
そして、金融機関の庭に丁寧に育てた菊がありました。（And there were carefully cultivated chrysanthemums in the garden of a financial institution.）

雪の富士山（Mt. Fuji）
この秋初めての雪をかぶった富士山を見られました。
富士山は、良いです。（I was able to see Mt. Fuji covered in snow for the first time this fall.
Mt. Fuji is great.）

菊（Chrysanthemums）
秋を表す花の一つである菊が咲き始めました。
（Chrysanthemums, one of the flowers that symbolize autumn, have begun to bloom.)

イチゴ（strawberry ）
今年の夏は、暑すぎてイチゴのランナーが駄目になってしまいました。ベリーという四季なりイチゴの苗を買ってきて植えました。（This summer was so hot that the strawberry runners died, so I bought some perennial strawberry seedlings called “Berry” ）

野ボタン（wild peonies）
野ボタンの花が、好きです。去年の苗が開花し始めました。（I love wild peonies. Last year’s seedlings have started to bloom. ）

紅葉している木（Trees with autumn leaves）
綺麗に紅葉している木がありました。
自然の作る色は、美しいと思います。（I saw a tree with beautiful autumn leaves.　I think the colors created by nature are beautiful.）

気温１６度（Temperature: 16 degrees）
朝が寒いです。
手袋が必要です。（It’s cold in the morning. I also need gloves.）

オリーブの実（Olives）
道端でオリーブの実を見ました。（I saw some olives on the side of the road.）
