今日は少し涼しいので花壇の草取りをしました。(It’s a little cooler today, so I weeded the flower bed.)

塀の隣は水のない用水路です。(Next to the fence is an irrigation canal with no water.)

そこから来たのか塀のそばにガマガエルがいました。(There was a toad near the wall that probably came from there.)

しばらく、いましたが、消えてしまいました。(It was there for a while, then disappeared.)

よく見るとかわいい顔でした。(It was a cute face when I looked closely.)

子供の時はよく見ました。(I used to watch it when I was a kid.)

何十年も見ていなかったので不思議でした。(I hadn’t seen it in decades, so it was strange.)

この地域は、７月末が、お盆です。(In this area, now is Obon.)

お盆とは、ご先祖様をご自宅にお迎えしてご供養する行事を指します。(Obon is an event in which ancestors are welcomed to their homes and memorial services are held.)

3年ぶりに盆踊りもありました。(There was also a bon dance for the first time in three years.)

有名な行事は、京都の大文字焼です。(A famous event is Daimonyaki in Kyoto.)
灯篭流しや花火もあります。(There are also lantern floating and fireworks.)

毎日蒸し暑いです。(It’s hot and humid every day.)

今年初めて冷房をつけて寝ました。(I slept with the air conditioner on for the first time this year.)

種から育てたペチュニアが花を咲かせています。(種から育てたペチュニアが花を咲かせています。)

ヒマワリが咲き誇っています。(Sunflowers are in full bloom.)

今週は３５度以上の気温が続いています。本当に暑いです。(Temperatures have been above 35 degrees this week. It’s really hot.)

6月下旬になると湿気の多い日本の夏が始まります。(In late June, the humid Japanese summer begins.)

湿気が多いので疲れます。(I’m tired because it’s so humid.)

しかし、長年この蒸し暑い夏を過ごしてきたので蒸し暑い夏も良いものです。。(But after spending so many years in this hot summer,Hot and humid summer is also good. )

今年は、最近まで温度が安定しなかったのでこの暑さもよいものです。(This year, the temperature has not been stable until recently, so this heat is also good.)

数日、高温多湿の日が続きました。しかし、6月３０日は雨です。(A few days of hot and humid weather continued. However, it will rain on June 30th.)

少し楽です。田植えが終わり稲の苗がきれいです。(It’s a little easier. The rice planting is over and the rice seedlings are beautiful.)

日本の夏らしい蒸し暑く高温の夏が始まりました。(A hot and humid summer, typical of Japanese summer, has begun.)

初めて購入した高山植物が、この蒸し暑い夏を乗り切れるか心配です。(I’m worried whether the alpine plants I bought for the first time will survive this hot and humid summer.)

半日陰で風の通る所に置いています。(It is placed in a semi-shaded and well-ventilated area.)

沖縄に来ている大型台風の影響で雨が降っています。(It is raining due to the large typhoon that is coming to Okinawa.)

そして、梅雨に入ったところもあります。(And some places have entered the rainy season.)

又、雨に似合うのはアジサイです。(Also,Hydrangeas look great in the rain.)

庭では、、アナベル以外は花が咲き始めました。(Flowers are starting to bloom except for Annabelle in my garden.)

気温が高くなり様々な花が咲いています。(The temperature is rising and various flowers are blooming.)

庭のサツキも各色が咲き始めました。(The Satsuki in the garden is also starting to bloom in each color.)

高山植物をアマゾンで購入してみました。(I bought some alpine plants from Amazon.)

育て方は難しそうですが挑戦してみます。(It seems difficult to grow, but I will try.)

白花ハナシノブ,レウイシア・コチレドン,コマクサ,ホトトギスを購入しました。(I bought white flower Hanashinobu, Lewisia cotyledon, Dicentra, and Hototogisu.)

５月中頃になると山の緑が濃くなります。(In the middle of May, the green of the mountains becomes thicker.)

少し前の若葉の優しい色とは違います。(It’s different from the gentle color of the young leaves a while ago. )

また花や木のエネルギーを感じます。(And I feel the energy of flowers and trees.)

五月の連休が始まりました。(The May holidays have started.)

気温も高くて夏を感じます。(The temperature is high and it feels like summer.)

花の苗が大きくなっています。(Flower seedlings are getting bigger.)

一昨日までは、寒の戻りで寒い日が続いていました。(Until the day before yesterday, the cold days were continuing with the return of the cold.)

しかし、今日は、気温２２度で過ごしやすかったです。(However, today, the temperature was 22 degrees and it was easy to spend.)

ブラックベリーの花が咲き始めました。(Blackberry flowers are starting to bloom.)

去年の秋に植えたヤマユリの球根が無事に芽を出して大きくなってきてます。(The bulbs of the daylily planted last fall have sprouted and are growing.)

また、去年の秋に種を植えた金魚草が咲き始めました。(Also, the snapdragon grass that I planted seeds last autumn has started to bloom.)

いつの間にか花が咲いてたりします。(Sometimes flowers bloom.)

また、蕾がついてたりします。(It also has buds.)

また、種が飛んできたのでしょうか？(Also, did the seeds fly?)
植えてない花が咲いたりしています。(Flowers that haven’t been planted are blooming.)

１年間の中で一番エネルギーを感じる季節です。(It’s the season when I feel the most energy in the year.)
