涼しい日から始まった9月下旬（Late September begins with cooler days.）

昨日から急に涼しくなりました。(It suddenly got cooler yesterday.)
残暑も終わったようです。(The lingering heat of summer seems to be over.)
自民党の総裁選でテレビやユーチューブがにぎやかです。(TV and YouTube are buzzing with the Liberal Democratic Party presidential election.)
毎日使う食品の値段が高くなっているのは大変です。(The rising prices of everyday food are a real problem.)
どうにかならないかなと思っています。(I’m hoping something can be done about this.)
輸入ブドウが好きで、よく買います。(I like imported grapes and buy them often.)
今年になり100円から200円高くなりました。(Prices have risen by 100 to 200 yen this year.)

お彼岸は、春分の日と秋分の日を中心に行われる仏教行事で、先祖を供養する大切な期間です。(Ohigan is a Buddhist event held mainly on the spring and autumn equinoxes, and is an important period for offering prayers for ancestors.)
今年のお彼岸は、20日から２６日です。(This year’s Ohigan falls from the 20th to the 26th.)
道端には、彼岸花とコスモスが咲いていました。(Red spider lilies and cosmos were blooming along the roadside.)

９月中旬ですが、温度計は３５度です。(It’s mid-September, but the thermometer reads 35 degrees.)

まだまだ、暑い日が続いています。(The hot days are still continuing.)
朝や夜は少し涼しくなりました。(It’s a little cooler in the mornings and at night.)
日中は、暑いです。(It’s hot during the day.)
大天人菊混合とチコリとかすみ草混合の苗を花壇に定植しました。(I planted some daisy mix and chicory and baby’s breath mix seedlings in the flower bed.)
暑いので水を忘れないように注意します。(It’s hot, so don’t forget to water them.)

ここ2日間は、雨が降り３０度以下で過ごしやすかったです。(It’s been raining for the past two days, with temperatures below 30 degrees, making it quite comfortable.)
真夏日は、バス停で立っているのも大変でした。(On a midsummer day, it’s difficult to even stand at the bus stop.)
でも、昨日は涼しくてバス停のそばの白い花も元気そうでした。(But yesterday it was cool, and the white flowers by the bus stop looked healthy.)

9月17日も３０度越えの残暑です。(The heat of summer is still over 30°C on September 17th.)
ベランダのパパイヤ、パイナップル、ブーゲンビレアが大きくなりました。(The papaya, pineapple, and bougainvillea on my balcony have grown big.)
これからの冬を乗り越えないと枯れてしまいます。(They will wither and die if they don’t survive the coming winter.)

暑い9月初旬(Hot early September)

９月初旬が始まりました。(It’s now early September)
でも、毎日３５度越えの暑さが続いています。(But the heat continues, exceeding 35 degrees Celsius every day.)

予報では、３日が３３度だそうです。(The forecast says it will be 33 degrees on the 3rd.)
ストックで庭を飾ろうと計画しました。(I planned to decorate my garden with stock.)
７月末にまいた種は、暑さのためか駄目になったものもあります。(Some of the seeds I planted at the end of July died due to the heat.)
昨日、新しく種をまきました。(I planted new seeds yesterday.)

3日は、地元の神社の秋まつりです。(On the 3rd, there is the autumn festival at the local shrine.)
有志による踊りや歌などの出し物があります。(Volunteers perform dances, songs, and other performances.)
夜になると家の周りで虫が鳴き始めて秋の気配を感じます。(As night falls, insects begin to chirp around the house, giving a sense of autumn.)

春からずっと咲いていたガイラルディアも終わりです。(The Gaillardia that had been blooming since spring is now finished.)
今は、花の形が違うガイラルディアが咲いています。(Now, Gaillardia with different flower shapes are blooming.)

サフランモドキがまた咲きました。(The false saffron has bloomed again.)
今日も35度以上なので暑そうに咲いています。(It’s over 35 degrees today, so it looks like it’s blooming in the heat.)

満月がとてもきれいなので写真に撮りました。(The full moon was so beautiful that I took a picture of it.)
