午後から、大変暑くなりました。(It has been very hot since the afternoon.)

天気予報では、明日から少し涼しくなると言ってました。(The weather forecast says that it will get a little cooler from tomorrow.)

昨日降った雹でイチゴの葉に穴が開いてしまいました。(The hail that fell yesterday has put holes in the strawberry leaves.)

里芋の葉にも穴が開いていました。(There are also holes in the taro leaves.)

テラスの屋根にも穴が開いてしましました。(There is also a hole in the terrace roof.)

車を廃車しなければいけなくなった人もいるそうです。(It seems that some people have had to scrap their cars.)

下旬になり、真夏のような暑さは、感じません。(It’s the end of the month, and the heat isn’t as intense as it is in midsummer.)
庭の手入れをするのも楽です。(It’s also easy to maintain the garden.)

花の種も少しずつ大きくなっています。(The flower seeds are getting bigger little by little.)
でも、イングリッシュラベンダー、ピンクコスモス、イウレイシアなどは、芽が出ませんでした。(However, the English lavender, pink bellflower, and iureisia did not sprout.)

今日は、気温約２２度です。(Today the temperature is about 22°C.)
神宮外苑の樹木の伐採が噂されています。(There are rumors that the trees in Jingu Gaien will be cut down.)
半世紀前に、学校の卒業式の後、友人と明治神宮にお参りしました。(Half a century ago, I visited Meiji Shrine with a friend after my school graduation ceremony.)
その時撮った写真をみてなつかしくなり、樹木の伐採が行われる前に行きたいと思っていました。(Looking at the photos I took then brought back nostalgia, and I wanted to go back before the trees are cut down.)

今日は、外国の観光客の人が多かったです。(There were many foreign tourists there today.)
偶然、結婚式も見られました。(By chance, I also saw a wedding.)
樹木が多く、砂利の道も落ち着いて歩けました。(There are many trees, and the gravel paths were easy to walk on.)

９月になっても、毎日、３０度以上の暑い日が続いています。(Even though it’s September, the hot weather continues with temperatures over 30 degrees every day.)

今日は、１１日です。(Today is the 11th. Usually.)

例年は、今頃になると涼しくなりました。(It gets cooler around this time of year.)

しかし、今年は、いつまでも暑さが続いています。(But this year, the heat has continued unabated.)

9月15日、まだまだ、暑い日が続いています。

花の種は、芽を出し始めました。芽が出ない種もあるので、今年は、すべてのポットに名札を付けました。

相変わらず35度近くの残暑が続いています。

しかし、午後や夕方から雷と雨が降ります。

１９日の午後３時頃、雷と風と雨と雹が降りました。

我が家のチワワのクロは、怖くて部屋の隅で小さくなっていました。

数日前から、のろのろ台風の影響で、雨が降り続けています。(It has been raining continuously for the past few days due to the influence of a slow-moving typhoon.)

真夏の暑さはないのですが、湿気が多いのでじとじとしています。(It’s not as hot as midsummer, but it’s humid and sticky.)

秋空を見たいです。(I want to see the autumn sky.)

９月は、秋の夜空に浮かぶ、美しい月を眺めるお月見（十五夜）があります。(In September, there is the moon viewing festival (the 15th night of the full moon), where you can gaze at the beautiful moon floating in the autumn night sky.)

私の子供のころの家には、縁側という長い廊下がありました。(My childhood house had a long corridor called a veranda.)

そこに、お団子とススキと栗やいもなどを飾り月の美しさを鑑賞しました。(We decorated it with rice dumplings, Japanese pampas grass, chestnuts, potatoes, and other things to admire the beauty of the moon.)

2024年の十五夜は、9月17日（火）です。(The 15th night of the full moon in 2024 will be on Tuesday, September 17th.)

最近は、自民党の総裁選挙の話題が多いです。(There has been a lot of talk recently about the LDP presidential election.)

今日、来年の春から夏にかけて咲く花の種をポットにまきました。(Today I planted some seeds in a pot that will bloom from spring to summer next year.)

芽が出るのが、楽しみです。(I’m looking forward to seeing them sprout.)
