真夏のように暑い日があったり、雨が降ったりしています。(There are hot days like midsummer, and sometimes it rains.)

昨日の夜から雨が降りました。(It has been raining since last night.)

去年の秋に植えた花の種は、大きくなり、花を咲かせてくれています。(The flower seeds I planted last fall have grown and are blooming.)

今年は、ドクダミの花で化粧水を作ろと思っています。(This year, I’m thinking of making lotion using Dokudami flowers.)

花が咲くのを待っていますが、なかなか、パッと咲いてくれません。(I’m waiting for the flowers to bloom, but they just don’t bloom right away.)

あと数日待つ様かなと思います。(I think I’ll have to wait a few more days.)

散歩でもたくさんの花が、咲いていて楽しいです。(There are lots of flowers blooming and it’s fun to walk around.)

昨日から、台風の影響で雨が降ったり、風が吹いたりしています。(It’s raining and the wind is blowing due to the typhoon since yesterday.)

それでも、去年の秋に種を植えた花たちが、咲いています。(But the flowers I planted last fall are blooming.)

雨後の５月の晴れは、本当に気持ちがよいです。(The sunny weather in May after the rain feels really nice.)
気温も丁度よいです。(The temperature is just right.)
だから、動きやすいです。(Therefore, it is easy to move.)
今まで、動きのなかった花も咲きだしました。(Flowers that didn’t move until now are starting to bloom.)

５月５日は、端午の節句です。(May 5th is Boys’ Festival.)
端午の節句は、鯉のぼりや五月人形などを飾り、柏餅やちまきを食べ、男の子の誕生を祝い、健やかな成長を祈るのが一般的です。(During Boy’s Festival, it is common to decorate with carp streamers and May dolls, eat kashiwamochi and chimaki, celebrate the birth of a baby boy, and pray for his healthy growth.)
また、新緑が、きれいな季節です。(It is also the season when the fresh greenery is beautiful.)

イチゴの実が赤くなりだしました。(The strawberries are starting to turn red.)

コンテストの作品のようでした。(It looked like a contest entry.)
珍しい花が、たくさん、ありました。(There were many rare flowers.)
